Terms and Conditions

The Innovator Access Fellowship is an initiative organized by Tech Nuttiez (registered as Tech Nuttiez OPC Private Limited). The fellowship program supports the organization's mission of educating the global youth on technology and bringing maverick young innovators to the forefront of the growth story of this century.

The program raises funds through crowdfunding and then awards fellowship grants to young innovators bridging the gap between the ideation and execution of their ideas and helping them to take their projects off the ground and into the skies. The Innovator Access Fellowship may be referred to as “IAF” in multiple parts of this document.

Tech Nuttiez is a registered entity and all information about the fellowship program including information (that the contributors choose to display) about the contributors and information about the selected innovators (called "fellows") will be publicly and globally available on the Tech Nuttiez IAF website.

The Tech Nuttiez IAF fund is only to support young innovators with their innovations and ideas to materialize into prototypes and hence will not provide funds/assistance to any other cause, and will not entertain any applications/requests made for funds for causes other than ones in line with its mission. Further, Tech Nuttiez or the IAF will not provide any reason/response to such applications/requests.

1. How to Enter
  1. Any young innovator (school/college level) can apply for the grant by duly filling out the prescribed application form.

  2. Entries received for the IAF after the stated closing date (if any) will not be accepted.

  3. The IAF is free to enter and no entry fee/application fee is necessary for submitting an entry.

  4. The IAF will not accept responsibility for entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged, or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.

  5. By submitting an entry, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you have any questions, please get in touch with contact@technuttiez.com.

  6. The IAF reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the fellowship to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.

2. Eligibility
  1. Unless otherwise stated, the IAF is not open to employees of Tech Nuttiez (or) the IAF, their families, agents, or any third party directly associated with the administration of Tech Nuttiez (or) the IAF.

  2. Entrants must be below the age of 25 unless otherwise stated.

  3. Entrants under 18 must get consent from their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) before entering. The parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of entrants under 18 agree to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the entrant.

  4. In entering, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. The IAF may require you to provide appropriate proof regarding the age, education, project, and financial status of your family to determine if you are eligible to enter the fellowship competition.

  5. The IAF reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the fellowship competition.

  6. If a group wished to apply for the IAF for a collective/group innovation/project, only one person (the group representative) will have to apply for the fellowship. Only the group representative will be rewarded with the fellowship if they are selected. But, the awarded funds will be used to fulfill the group project.

3. The Fellowship

  1. The fellowship application will be a time-restricted event (with a cut-off date) and is subject to the collection and availability of funds. Tech Nuttiez will run the IAF from time to time based on the availability of funds.

  2. The winners of the fellowship will be selected after a meticulous evaluation by the expert panel at IAF. The ingenuity of the idea, scalability, commercialization capability, economic background of the innovator, and many such factors will be taken into account on a case-by-case basis before a final decision is made.

  3. Entrants from an economically underprivileged background will be given a strong preference in rewarding the IAF to the innovators.

  4. Once selected, the entrant has to provide their bank account (or equivalent) details for the money to be transferred with adequate supporting documents (crossed cheque) and thereby provide consent that Tech Nuttiez and the IAF can keep a record of this and other information details shared by the entrant.

  5. Only the winner will receive details of the prize.

  6. The winner will be notified by email or telephone (using details provided at entry) within 7 days of being chosen and must provide a postal address to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond to the IAF within 14 days of being notified, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited and the IAF will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.

  7. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no alternative is offered. The IAF reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the IAF's control make it necessary to do so.

  8. The decision of the IAF regarding any aspect of the fellowship is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

  9. The fellowship grant given to the selected innovators will not be a binding perpetual fund-granting agreement. Tech Nuttiez or the IAF shall not be obliged to disburse any further request to grant funds for extensions of the current projects, or for future projects. Any further projects of current fellows shall again go through the application procedure to evaluate them and determine the outcome.

  10. By accepting the fellowship, the entrant consents to the right of Tech Nuttie and the IAF as the project funding, collaboration, and mentoring agency and thereby its right to be credited a fair share of ownership through proper notification and mentioning at all such places, wherever required, in all the intellectual property, publication, patents, commercialization, marketing, advertising and other activities and action of such nature related to the funded project and its application in any other idea, innovation or future products/application/services in as-is or modified forms.

  11. If the project/idea is funded by other agencies along with Tech Nuttiez or separately in the future, that does not in any way supersede or appropriate the right of Tech Nuttiez in the project/product or its application, publication, patent, and commercialization.

  12. Tech Nuttiez and the IAF reserve the right to give out equivalent resources instead of money (components, tools, etc, for example) if we think that these might suit the fellow better and be more effective.

  13. For milestone-based payments, future payments will only be continued if there is continuous progress being made on the project as decided while receiving the fellowship, and a progress report is regularly sent to Tech Nuttiez and the IAF.

  14. The funds will only be transferred through bank/electronic/online transfer and will, under no circumstances, be paid in hard cash.

  15. Tech Nuttiez and the IAF reserve the right to entertain, evaluate, accept, and reject the fellowship application as it is deemed fit and is in no way obliged to provide any reason/communication to the applications not selected for the fellowship.

4. For Contributors

  1. All contributions made are on a voluntary basis done in good faith by contributors towards the IAF program run by Tech Nuttiez and are in no way solicited by Tech Nuttiez or the IAF in lieu of any product or service by Tech Nuttiez, the IAF, its agents or its associates, or any other activity of such nature. The contributions are made at the sole discretion of the contributors themselves.

  2. Making a contribution does not grant a contributor the right to affect the fellowship decision-making procedure in any form or manner, or any other work, functioning, or decisions made by Tech Nuttiez or the IAF in any form or manner. The decision of awarding the fellowships including the amount given to the fellows can only be decided by the management at Tech Nuttiez and the IAF.

  3. All contributions made are non-refundable. The contributions are made with clear prior knowledge about the fact that these contributions are purely philanthropic donations made to the cause of helping young innovators. No product/service of Tech Nuttiez, its associates, partners, or any other organization will be provided in exchange for the contributed money, once a contribution has been made.

5. Limitation of Liability

  1. Insofar as is permitted by law, the IAF, its agents, or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury, or death occurring as a result of taking up the fellowship.

  2. Tech Nuttiez (or) the IAF will not be responsible in any way if the fellowship grant is used by the candidate towards the fulfillment of any other thing apart from the purpose for which it was granted, and its consequences thereof.

  3. Tech Nuttiez (or) the IAF will not be responsible, given the limitation of bandwidth of the organization at the current stage (entirely run by youngsters), if the projects/innovations are found to be plagiarised or infringements of someone else's intellectual property. Tech Nuttiez and the IAF reserve the right to halt the disbursement of funds if any such activity is found or reported in any form or manner.

6. Data Protection and Publicity

  1. Tech Nuttiez is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and will only use your personal information in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and Tech Nuttiez's Privacy Policy which is available on our website: https://technuttiez.com/privacy-policy

  4. Fellows consent to provide themselves available for any advertising/marketing/publicity/facilitation event as organized by Tech Nuttiez through print/electronic media, audio media/visual media/social media, and all such activities.

  5. The IAF reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time and any updated version will be effective as soon as it is published on the website. It is your responsibility to stay updated with the latest version of these Terms and Conditions.
